Which coach should you pick?
Role match matters more than rank. A Challenger mid laner is not automatically the right coach for a Gold support, because the decisions costing you games are role-specific and the coach who plays your role sees them faster.
Pick for your champion pool if it is narrow. If you play three champions in one role, a coach who knows those matchups spends the hour on your actual games rather than translating general principles into them.
Pick for language or timezone if that is a real constraint for you. A coach you can book at a sensible hour is a coach you will book again, and repetition is what compounds.

What Master, Grandmaster and Challenger actually mean
These are the three tiers above Diamond, and they are ordered by LP within a region rather than by a fixed skill threshold. Master is roughly the top fraction of a percent of players. Grandmaster and Challenger sit in capped slots, so holding one is as much about sustained ladder performance as raw mechanical ability.
What that buys you in a session is pattern recognition. A coach at that level has played your matchup thousands of times and can tell you what usually happens next, which is the part no guide can give you about your own game.
What it does not buy you is teaching. That is why every coach here goes through a trial built around explanation rather than ladder position. A high rank shows someone can play. It does not show they can tell you why a decision was right.
